In the Beginning

 

Genesis, the first book of the Bible, written by Moses states that God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth (1:1).

Isn’t it great to know that we have a Creator! He are God’s creation. We just didn’t go from “goo, through the zoo and there was you”! We have a personal Creator who loves us.

 

The Gospel of John states that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God” (1:1). Jesus is the Word (John 1:14). God took on flesh! Jesus is God, in the flesh. He is real and personal. He was involved in creation (John 1:3). Jesus was in the beginning.

 

Have you put your faith in a real, personal Creator? Trust Jesus today. Don’t just be His creation, but be part of His family. Because as many as receive Jesus become God’s children. You can be a new creation in Jesus (2Corin. 5:17).

Have a new beginning (John 3:3).

Good and Evil:  Gen. 2:8-17; 3:1-7,22-24. Adam was told not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. His wife, Eve and himself ate from it and knew what evil was and were removed from the Garden of Eden. Ever since then,  people are searching for  their "Paradise." They are looking for a "Utopia," a "Paradise,", a "Promised Land," a "Nirvana", without God. They have their own views, religions, and theories on God , sin, Satan, Jesus,  and self.... They delve into cults (Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, Christian Science, Scientology, Hinduism, Buddhism, Mindfulness, Yoga, Meditation, New Age, Occult, etc....). Whenever someone rejects, or is ignorant of the God of the Bible and His Son, Jesus the Messiah, they will try many "paths". Encounter #12 : God's Family (the Church) Matters Read: Mark: 3:31-35 Jesus' mother and His brothers were outside the house asking to see Him. Jesus had half-brothers and sisters (see Matthew 13:55,56). They didn't believe that Jesus was Messiah and Savior until after His resurrection ( John 7:5). Then, on the Day of Pentecost they were in the Upper Room waiting for the Promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4). Jesus asked the multitudes around Him if they knew who were His mother and brothers. He said those who do God's will are part of His family.
