The spirit of anti-Christ:  1 John 2:18-29; 4:1-6; 2 John 7; 2 Thess. 2:1-17
The demon or spirit of anti-Christ is against Christ Jesus. It does not acknowledge that Jesus is the Messiah, that He is  the Son of God and that Jesus is God in the flesh (John 1:14). This spirit was in the world when Jesus came, and still is. It's main "job"  is to deceive people into believing that Jesus is not Who He said He is: The Messiah (John 4:26). It is an anti-Messiah spirit. When the physical, Devil-possessed Anti-Christ is revealed in Revelation 13 (the Beast), he will declare  himself as God.

But the Anti-Christ cannot be revealed until the Church as been removed (the Rapture). While the Holy Spirit is moving in the Church, the Anti-Christ is constrained, restrained, held back and withheld from coming into power. The Holy Spirit is greater in power than the spirit of anti-Christ. The Holy Spirit is the 3rd Person of the Trinity. The anti-Christ spirit denies the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is our comforter, convicter, counselor, constrainer, confirmer and creator. He is the eternal Spirit, the Spirit of adoption, glory, grace, holiness, life, might, prophecy, understanding, wisdom and truth. The spirit of anti-christ tries to curtail, censor, conceal, confine, contain, corner and cover Him. But the Holy Spirit has already judged the prince of this age (John 16:7-11).

Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God, God in the flesh....and He is returning again.
Let us look for Him, not the Anti-Christ.
